When is Kisan vikas patar taxable?

My Mother Is A Retired Government Employee And She Had Invested In Kisan Vikas Patar (KVP)  In 2016 For A Period Of 100 Months (Amount  5000000).How Much Tax Would She Be Liable To Pay And When? She had saved this money during her service(PF and other savings) and has regularly paid her taxes.

Interest Income accrued every year to KVP is taxable. So on maturity you will get amount Paid + Interest. Accrued means the tax need to be paid on the interest accrued over the life of certificate.
